Candescent, a US-based intelligent digital banking platform, has inaugurated a new technology centre here, employing 260 people, expanding its operations in the city. The 30,000-sq ft facility will be a core engineering and innovation hub for the company’s global needs.

“The company will continue to operate from its existing Hyderabad office, which will remain active through 2027, with teams working across both locations. Together, these centres reflect both immediate scale and a long-term commitment to India,” a company executive said.

With a presence across Mumbai and Bengaluru and a headcount of over 800 engineers, India-based teams are responsible for the architecture, design, development and operation of critical components of the company’s digital banking platform. The platform supports over 1,300 banks and credit unions, serving about 30 million users in the United States.

“Teams here are working on critical parts of our platform, from real-time payments and high-volume systems to AI-driven workflows and resilient infrastructure,” John Garvey, Chief Operating Officer of Candescent.
