The French government is to launch a Spring Covid vaccination campaign to protect more vulnerable people.
For most people, France’s seasonal Covid and flu vaccination campaign is over.
However, those at risk of developing severe forms of Covid-19 are strongly advised to get vaccinated again this Spring.
France’s spring Covid-19 vaccination campaign begins on April 20th and ends on June 30th. It aims to provide enhanced protection to those most at risk during the summer months.
The campaign will particularly focus on:
- people aged 80 and over;
- immunocompromised individuals, regardless of age;
- residents of Ehpad nursing homes for dependent elderly people, or those in long-term care units, regardless of age;
- any person at very high risk according to their medical situation and within the framework of a medical decision shared with the care team.
Vaccine renewal can be carried out from three months after the last injection or the last Covid-19 infection.
Residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities can receive their vaccinations without leaving the facility.
For other eligible individuals, the vaccine can be administered by general practitioners or specialists, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, dentists, or the hospital departments where the person is receiving care.
You can find a vaccination center using this interactive map from Santé.fr
Vaccination is 100 percent covered. No documents are required to get vaccinated.
