The training will cover fire attack size-ups, fire dynamics, and evaluating thermal cameras. A fire attack size-up is the continuous evaluation of a fire scene, starting with the alarm until the fire is controlled. Fire dynamics involve understanding how fires start, spread, and extinguish.

Firefighters will be at 73 West River Rd. in Paris from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Please avoid the area, if possible, during the controlled burn, as it will be smoky and there will be multiple fire service vehicles on-site,” said Watson.
