The fourth year of the annual campaign focuses on biodiversity and nature.

The European Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS) today (22 April) launched the latest #ForOurPlanet campaign, and this year, it’s all about nature restoration.

Nature gives us everything: clean air, fresh water, food, cooler cities, and protection from floods and storms. But right now, it needs our help. Across Europe, 80% of habitats are in poor condition, and around the world, up to one million species are at risk.

The good news? We can all be part of the solution.

#ForOurPlanet invites everyone — yes, everyone — to act. Whether it’s planting pollinator-friendly flowers, making your garden more sustainable, or simply making more nature-friendly choices in your daily life, small actions really do add up.

Learn from the best

Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered.

This year’s campaign webpage features a series of specialist articles packed with practical tips — from restoring soils and supporting biodiversity to simple ways you can make a difference in your community. They’re based on expert knowledge but designed for real life, so you can jump in and get started straight away.

You’ll also find inspiring projects from across Europe and beyond, showing how people everywhere are already helping bring nature back to life. EU Representations and Delegations around the world are also taking part, organising local activities and helping to spread the message globally.

Vote for the #ForOurPlanet award!

This year, #ForOurPlanet is teaming up with the European Training Foundation’s Green Skills Award, including a special #ForOurPlanet Prize for projects focused on nature restoration.

Check out the finalists on our webpage, support your favourite, and follow their journey. The winner will be invited to Brussels to present their work at EU Green Week.

Help spread the word

Don’t keep it to yourself — share what you’re doing using #ForOurPlanet and inspire others to join in. You can find images and messaging free to use on our Trello board.
