Folks Motor, a technology-led clean mobility company building next-generation xEV solutions, on Tuesday said that it has registered Folks Funds with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). Folks Funds will adopt a sector-agnostic investment strategy, with a focus on high-growth opportunities across warehousing infrastructure, the electric vehicle ecosystem, data centres, and real estate, the company said in a release.

The Fund will invest through a diversified mix of equity, debt, and convertible instruments, deploying capital via portfolio companies and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) rather than direct ownership of physical assets.

Nikhil Anand Khurana, Managing Director, Folks Motor, and Chief Investment Officer, Folks Funds, said: “We believe the next decade of value creation will be driven by sectors underpinning India’s energy transition, industrial expansion and logistics backbone. Through Folks Funds, we are defining the EV supply chain as an investable asset class, one that can attract disciplined domestic and global capital into critical growth infrastructure.”
