
BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The efforts of the
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the
Prime Minister of Armenia, Pashinyan, have succeeded in stabilizing
relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian President
Vladimir Putin said, Trend reports.
Putin also recalled the active involvement of U.S. President
Donald Trump in the normalization process between the two
countries.
On August 8, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, Donald Trump, President of the United States of
America, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of
Armenia, signed the Joint Declaration on the meeting between the
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of
the Republic of Armenia held in Washington, D.C.
During the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of
the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan initialed the draft
“Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations
between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia” and
signed a joint appeal by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the
Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia to the OSCE
Chairman-in-Office (on the closure of the OSCE Minsk Process,
Personal Representative OSCE Chairman-in-Office on the conflict
discussed by the Minsk Conference, and High-level Planning
Groups).
