S Vijayakumar posted as new Tamil Nadu industries secretary in IAS shuffle


In another rejig of bureaucrats in Tamil Nadu by the newly formed government led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, S Vijayakumar, Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner, Land Reforms, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department.

Vijaykumar will replace V Arun Roy, who has been posted as Higher Education Secretary, says a Government order.

P Umanath, Principal Secretary / formerly Secretary-I to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as CMD of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation.

MS Shanmugham, formerly Secretary-II to then Chief Minister, is posted as Tourism commissioner replacing J Innocent Jaya, who is on leave.

A Arun Thamburaj, District Collector, Salem, has been posted as Director, Information and Public Relations, in place of R Vaithinathan.

Former Thoothukudi district collector K Elambahavath will replace Thamburaj as Salem collector, the order said.
